Evaluation Comments
What were the strengths of the course? What did you value most?
- The instructor was able to present information positively and encourage positive discussions.
- Positivity
- How active and engaged it was, lots of effective peer to peer interaction & student to trainer.
- Joe was warm, personable, and positive (without being annoying ). This is the best course I've taken with the county.
- I valued the information on studies/stats that were provided.
- A positive outlook on "negative" situations, open communication between instructor/tutor. Sharing & learning with others in class.
- Very interactive. Allowed us to talk and speak about our experiences.
- Valued most the communication, interaction with everyone in the training as well as the instructor in a clam, peaceful environment.
How could the course be improved?
- Perfect.
- More situations than just clients.
- Maybe make it a little longer?
- I would have liked conflict to have been defined at the very start of the class.
- n/a
- More examples or modeling of conflict, what types of phrases or strategies, etc.
- N/A
How will you apply what you learned?
- Daily implement positive interactions in my work & home life.
- I will be more positive, provide more positive feedback to my co-workers & be more conscience of how I react & respond to conflict.
- I will apply these methods both professionally, with colleagues & clients, and personally, with my family.
- I will use different (more positive) wording when addressing behaviors. I will try to stay point positive in more situations.
- I will try to see the positive in every situation & try to focus on solutions instead of the problem or how it is making me feel.
- Using the tools of defusing situations and keeping in mind proactive communication styles.
- In my work & family life, on how to defuse an issue with my new tools.
