Evaluation Comments
What were the strengths of the course? What did you value most?
- Giving us the atmosphere to be ourselves and be honest with everyone.
- Focusing on our "team" and working with those specific qualities to create unity that's been missing. It felt safe to share. The safety to be Real.
- Having the ability to make participants willing to do the exercises and cooperate as instructed.
- Being vulnerable, recognizing how people see themselves as assets and how they perceive themselves. I valued most the opportunity to express kindness and gratitude to my peers.
How could this course be improved?
- Don't think it needs improvement. Not a bad thing done here.
- Need to have more time and follow up training to see if we can take it outside – applicably.
- N/A
- Opportunity to be critical of others in a nurturing/constructive way. I think teams often resort to these types of trainings because they have conflict bubbling within.
How will you apply what you learned?
- Review my note cards and add to other trainings. Probably follow up calls to put somethings in practice.
- Be more open and vulnerable with the team and realize they support me.
- Look at my cards and remember what others said about me & themselves.
- Be able to interact with my team knowing the valuable information about them I learned here.
Would you recommend this workshop for other Sacramento County employees? Why?
- Yes. The session is like therapy and it forces participants to remove "stuff" that can weigh us down in our daily work routines.
- Yes. Ability to skill build empathy strengthens cognition of other team members' strengths & positive attributes. Excellent opportunity for teams to recognize their membership's values.
- Most definitely. Most other departments don't value Team and focus on I.
- Yes. I think other departments could use this type of team building. There are a lot of internal conflicts within other units.
