EVALUATION COMMENTS

What were the strengths of the workshop? What did you value most?

  • Engaging activities & conversations. I value how open & willing the team was to share thoughts & ideas.
  • The modeling of inclusiveness. the fact that leadership is done as an "us" function (vs. you or I). I enjoyed the activities, I see them as ways to create bonds of unity and joy in our organization.
  • The inclusive approach. I valued the opportunity to learn more about, and share experiences with, my colleagues.
  • Allowed time for us all to connect or reconnect and strengthen our connection. I valued the time to just focus on the development of our team and focus on our connection rather than our daily duties.
  • The engagement, feeling equal, sharing and learning from each other.
  • Very interactive, practical – tools/ideas that can be applied immediately. This allowed us to not only become better facilitators but this allowed us to get closer as a group.
  • Being a person-centered approach. Included ALL staff.
  • Strengths – safe environment that allowed everyone to be included. I valued everyone's participation.

How could this course be improved?

  • I would only suggest having all phones put away and making sure everyone stayed for the entire workshop.
  • Provide examples of more energizers.
  • It would have been nice to receive a handout of all the activities to refer to.
  • The 2nd day would have been nice for lower level managers to get first hand.
  • From a trainers perspective I found the training ideal. There were several takeaways and information that we could implement right away. I thought this was a wonderful training.
  • Seems pretty solid, I can't think of anything.
  • The only nugget would be applying a little more organizational meat outcomes around the staff meeting model.
  • A couple of extra "stand & stretch" breaks for those of us with shorter attention spans 🙂

Would you recommend similar workshops for other Goodwill staff? Why?

  • Yes. Good opportunity for real-time learning & team building.
  • Absolutely! IT promotes unity and positivity, which breeds growth & success.
  • Yes. The inclusive, engaging approach would be great for strengthening and unifying teams.
  • Yes, it is very helpful with team building and creating an environment where we can strategize and focus on how we can do better, without someone needing to be wrong. Definitely a safe space.
  • Yes, because it will help make staff meetings fun and more focused.
  • Yes. This would be good to do as a GSC leadership team. The same way it brought us together (Directors) it would bring the GSC leadership together as a team.
  • Yes. It's in line with our values.
  • Yes I would recommend. The style is easy to follow and easy for everyone to engage.

Anything else?

  • Thank you (Joe) for your passion and dedication to helping people be positive and be more productive.
  • Great Job, Joe!
